RECITAL • ONLINE CLASSES • MONTHLY TUITION • COSTUMES
Questions & Answers:
Are we still having recital?
Yes. We are still having recital! However, it is almost certain we will have to reschedule our recital for a later date. Our hope is to reschedule the recital for the end of July or first of August…but government restrictions for social gatherings are still very unpredictable and therefore will ultimately dictate when we are able to reschedule our show.
Do we still have to pay tuition for online classes?
Yes. We are still charging regular tuition fees for online classes for the following reasons:
Our instructors are still putting in the same amount of time and effort to provide the best possible class they can within these new limitations. Teaching dance is the only source of income for some of our instructors and for many others teaching dance provides the supplemental income they need to make ends meet.
Dance Connection would like to continue to offer lessons to the students whose families have lost their jobs, or who no longer have a source of income due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. We don’t want these students to have to give up their costumes &/or forfeit their dance lessons during a time when life has already changed so much for them.
Our studio costs are fixed and unfortunately have not changed at this point…we have already been told that our overhead costs would only be postponed, at best.
We have gone to great lengths to provide the most interactive & most “like normal” classes in this new virtual environment. We will be having weekly themes, online challenges & other engaging activities to keep our dancers motivated & connected. We are also going to allow students to take additional classes at no extra cost, as long as the classes are age appropriate.
How do I pay my tuition?
Tuition payments may be cash, check, credit or debit. Credit or debit payments can be made either online or over the phone. Please note that a 3% Convenience Fee will be charged with any payment using a credit card or debit card. To avoid the 3% Fee, you may pay directly from your bank account using Venmo.com or with a cash or check payment via snail mail. Cash or checks should be mailed to:
Dance Connection, 5519 S Hulen Street, Fort Worth, TX 76132.
*We must have a credit card on file if you choose to pay with Venmo or if sending cash or check in the mail. We will only charge the card on file if payment is not received by the 15th of the month.
Do I still have to pay for my costumes?
Yes. Costumes are non-refundable, they have never been refundable & all costume purchases were agreed to long before the corona virus was even a known. Miss Tiffany (the studio director) has already bought and paid for every single costume…none of which are eligible for return. The corona virus pandemic and the cancellations, postponements that have resulted are beyond anyone’s control. Rest assured, we would never let such beautiful expensive costumes go to waste and we can’t wait to see our dancers wearing them proudly for recital, whenever that rescheduled recital date may be.
For those who choose to discontinue their dance classes and to no longer participate in recital…your costumes are still your responsibility.
Most costumes are already here, ready to pick up and take home once paid for, and once it is safe to do so.
We are working so hard to make sure we have a studio to come back to…
We won’t make it without you, and we thank you so much for your support!
